MAINTENANCE MANAGER

The role is responsible for leading safety throughout when planning, managing and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities.

The role will initially be hands on whilst leading the maintenance team in planning, organizing, and directing maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

This critical role will lead a supervisor and team of technicians working closely with the operational and other teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

About the job

The main job requirements are

  • Responsible for your own Health and Safety, for the Health and Safety of those at site.
  • Optimizing plant performance through forming an effective maintenance strategy.
  • Implement and enhance preventative maintenance practices.
  • Prepare and deliver the site maintenance budget.
  • Able to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines.
  • Experience in a mechanical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management.
  • Effective management of contractors on site supported through the relevant documentation and safety matters.

Requirements

What do we expect from you?

  • · Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • · Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • · Proficiency in maintenance software (e.g., CMMS), mechanical and electrical systems, and regulatory standards.
  • · Knowledge of materials handling, conveying, mechanical system design.
  • · Experience of delivering technical solutions from design through to implementation
  • · Implement and enhance preventative maintenance practices.
  • · Able to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict time lines.
  • · Experience in a mechanical engineering role from areas such as FMCG/ manufacturing/ waste management.

 

What we offer

  • Salary for the relevant skills £60,000 to £75,000
